Gifts to the Harris Center Foundation support programs and services that transform the lives of more than 80,000 individuals annually. 
 
The Harris Center Foundation accepts applications from members of the Harris Center staff for activities related to programs and services to individuals served by The Harris Center and activities that improve employee engagement and development.
 2022 Funding Announcement

INFORMATION, GUIDELINES AND DEADLINES
The Board of Directors of the Harris Center Foundation invite applications from members of the Harris Center staff for funding commencing January 2023. Applications are due on or before 5:00 PM on October 1, 2022.

  • Applications may request funding for services/supports, capital investments or equipment.
  • The Foundation’s highest priority is to fund innovative requests that will have an impact on Harris Center clients and assist in meeting unfunded or under-funded needs. Programs benefitting Harris Center client families will also be considered.
  • Proposals for Foundation funding should directly relate to specific elements of the current Harris Center’s strategic plan.
  • All service Divisions are eligible to apply for funding consideration. Each Harris Center Division may submit up to three applications approved by the Division’s leadership to be reviewed by the Foundation Board.
  • A single commitment award will be made in January 2023. Awardees will have up to 12 months to expend all funding.
  • Awardees should reflect how service/support enhancements will be sustained after the 12-month Foundation award has expired.

  1. When are applications due? Applications must be received by 5:00 PM on October 1, 2022. Apply online: 2022 Foundation Grant Application. A preview copy of the grant application is attached.
  2. What format should be used to submit the project budget? Project budgets can be completed online within the grant application. Please ensure your budget contains detailed expenses. For example, do not list $1,000 for client supplies, instead specify the types of supplies and cost for each. Grant funds cannot be used to pay for salaries, stipends, bonuses, fringe benefits or other personnel expenses.
  3. Who can submit a grant request? The Foundation will review grant request from all internal employees of The Harris Center; however, grant requests must be reviewed and approved by the division’s Vice President or Chief. Each service division can submit up to three (3) grant requests.
  4. How do I submit a grant request? Complete the online grant application form by October 1, 2022. Apply online: 2022 Foundation Grant Application. A preview copy of the grant application is attached.
  5. Where can I find a copy of the agency’s strategic plan? All grant proposals should directly relate to specific elements of the current Harris Center’s strategic plan. Access online: Agency Strategic Plan.
