Jim Lykes has been an Executive Vice President for Origin Bank since 2018, focused on developing new banking relationships and providing current and future clients the expertise to help them achieve their goals across all lines of business.  Previously he specialized for 18 years in real estate, commercial and industrial lending, and personal credit facilities to high net worth individuals. 

Mr. Lykes serves on the Board of the Harris Center for Mental Health & IDD, chairing the Governance Committee and working with several other committees.  He is the non-voting liaison with the Harris Center Foundation Board.

Mr. Lykes has a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from Texas Christian University and a Master of Business Administration from Baylor University. 

He and his wife Kate, a retired CFO, have four children.  Their oldest daughter’s struggles with borderline personality disorder motivated the Lykes to participate actively in raising funds for the Menninger Clinic’s research and training programs to combat the stigma of mental illness.
