Susan Fordice, Executive Director

Susan Fordice, Executive Director of The Harris Center Foundation for Mental Health and IDD, has more than 35 years of development experience in the nonprofit sector. After working for medical institutions in Los Angeles and Chicago, she moved to Houston in 1993 and worked as a development professional for M. D. Anderson Cancer Center, Rice University, and The Menninger Clinic. She also served as the director of development and then president and chief executive for Mental Health America of Greater Houston. More recently Fordice served as the founding executive director of the Hackett Center for Mental Health and senior fellow with the Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute. Her role as Executive Director of The Harris Center Foundation began in 2020 following her service as a member of the Board of Trustees for The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD. Her volunteer priorities include board service for mental health and veteran-serving organizations.
