Who We Are
Our Mission
The purpose of The Harris Center Foundation is to cultivate philanthropic investments to expand services and programs for the benefit of the individuals and families served by The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD.
The Harris Center is the state-designated local mental health and intellectual and developmental disability authority, offering evidence-based treatment in Harris County. Recognized for innovation, The Harris Center hosts groups from across the country to tour projects such as the nation’s first Jail Diversion Center, which enables law enforcement officers to divert persons with a mental illness who have been charged with low-level, non-violent offenses to treatment rather than incarceration.
The Foundation invites you to join us in support of The Harris Center as it continues to lead in addressing individual, family and community needs in providing support and treatment for residents of Harris County.
