Dr. Campbell-Law, a driving force in advancing psychiatric nursing, serves as the Project Developer and Director of the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program track at PSON. With a wealth of experience in academia, research, and practice, Dr. Campbell-Law has become a prominent figure in nursing education.
She earned a Bachelor's degree from Houston Baptist University in Houston, Texas, Dr. Campbell-Law continued her pursuit of knowledge, earning a Master of Science degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, followed by a Doctorate from Texas Woman’s University in Houston, Texas. Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as both an Adult Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Dr. Campbell-Law brings over 40 years of experience in academia, research, and practice.
Her clinical expertise revolves around the management of post-traumatic stress and traumatic brain injuries, with a specific emphasis on military service members, both pre and post-deployment. She plays a vital role in assessing the risk factors for the development of post-traumatic stress-related disorders and investigates biomarkers to better understand and address these conditions.
Dr. Campbell-Law's research focuses on dual diagnoses, encompassing bipolar disorder, major depression, and substance abuse. She is a recognized expert on mental health issues among underserved populations, with a substantial record of publications and presentations in this area.
