

Dr. Al-Bahish is an experienced attorney, strategic advisor and proven leader with deep and broad environmental law knowledge. Since 2023 she has served as Senior Corporate Counsel, HSE, for CITGO Petroleum Corporation. She has worked at a number of law firms in Houston since 1993, including as a partner at Haynes and Boone, LLP, Kelley Drye and Warren, LLP, and as a shareholder at Jackson Gilmour and Dobbs, PC.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts from Trinity University, graduating Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. She earned her law degree from Harvard Law School, graduating Cum Laude and earned a PhD in Public Health from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.
She has been recognized by Chambers USA, The Best Lawyers in America, Lawdragon 500 Leading Environmental and Energy Lawyers. She was inducted into the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce Hall of Fame and was a 2022 recipient of the Houston Business Journal’s Women Who Mean Business Award. She was a recent winner of a juried writing contest associated with the Harvard Alumni Entrepreneurs’ Thought Leadership Incubator Program.
Holding numerous leadership roles on nonprofit boards, she has been involved in serving the community throughout her career. Currently she serves as a Board Director for The Rose on the Program Committee and is Past Chair of the Community Advisory Board, Board Director for the Houston Area Women’s Center, Past Chair of the Site and Facilities Committee, and Board Director for the SciArt Exchange.
