As Executive Director of the Network of Behavioral Health Providers (NBHP), Lisa convenes behavioral health leaders to strengthen the workforce, foster cross-sector collaboration, and advance solutions that improve equitable access to mental health and substance use services. Building upon NBHP’s longstanding legacy of collaboration, she has expanded strategic initiatives that bring together providers, healthcare systems, academic institutions, policymakers, and community leaders to address the region’s most pressing behavioral health needs. Among her contributions, Lisa established the ACT for Mental Health Symposium, an annual conference focused on workforce development, emerging practices, and collaboration across the behavioral health continuum.

Lisa brings more than 30 years of experience designing, implementing, and leading behavioral health programs and systems in California and Texas. During her 25-year career in California, she held progressive leadership positions culminating in her role as California State Clinical Director for a national behavioral health organization. There, she developed a statewide suicide assessment protocol later adopted as the organization’s national standard and established the San Diego region’s first anonymous behavioral health resource and referral program connecting first responders and their families with confidential, affordable care outside employer-sponsored benefits.

Combining clinical expertise with business acumen, Lisa holds a Master of Business Administration and Master of Social Work and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker–Supervisor. Throughout her career, her work has remained centered on underserved communities and reducing inequities in access to behavioral health care. From direct clinical service to executive leadership, she has focused on building partnerships and developing sustainable, system-level solutions that expand opportunities for people and communities too often left without access to the care they need.
